Silver Fern Farms believes in leading from the front. We are setting new standards for industry innovation, technology and best practice. Our plants are used as ‘innovation centres’ to develop best in class solutions, aimed at better understanding our customers, collecting product quality and yield information through processing and engagement with farmer suppliers to help productivity improvements through improved genetics, forage, animal health and management systems. We work closely with research agencies and other agribusiness companies to develop systems such as traceability and on-line quality and yield measurement, and our talented employees are encouraged to contribute to our ongoing improvement programme with a focus on product quality, cost efficiency and reduced accident risks. |
