There is an old saying, “from Pasture-to-Plate”, which typifies the traditional industry as we know it – finding markets and customers for the range of products produced. We are challenging this by focusing on the “plate”  first, targeting consumer needs and asking our farmers to grow animals specifically to meet those needs.

Silver Fern Farms is developing a range of branded portion-controlled products to meet the demands from consumers. The brand allows us to tell a story about the product and ultimately assist in developing the categories in which we compete. The examples below show how we have taken a concept and used consumer insights on branding and packaging to develop a range of value-added consumer packs.
